Meet Nicolas Goin, a seasoned consultant and coach-trainer (23 years' experience) who has delivered over 600 training courses. His facilitation style focuses on creating links between participants, enabling them to create a unique learning experience, to better understand themselves and others. He also developed the "Manager par la confiance, ça s'apprend" program.
After a year in an advertising agency, I joined Renault, where I spent eight years in the communications department, managing various projects. My role took me across Europe to help subsidiaries adopt new digital tools and working practices. Following this highly enriching experience, I wanted to become independent and devote myself to consulting, but I hadn't yet acquired the necessary posture vis-à-vis customers. So I joined a consulting firm specializing in digital transformation, where I managed the "Public Sector" division and supervised a team of 8 consultants/project managers. Then, after five years, I turned to management training, on the strength of these two formative experiences, which I still draw on today. Certified in various psychometric tools and methods such as OPQ 32, a personality inventory that identifies the aspects of a person's behavior that impact their potential professional performance, I' ve been coaching for 9 years now .
I've had the opportunity to put my expertise into practice by running over 600 training courses on a variety of managerial issues (hybrid management, finding the right managerial posture, developing a genuine feedback culture, etc.) for major groups such as AXA, La MAIF, Bouygues, Accenture and METRO . My main areas of interest are trust-based management, leadership development (communication, decision-making and influence) and hybrid management. These three areas particularly inspire me at the moment.
I chose to run the training courses at Numa for several reasons. Firstly, there's a real fit between the messages I want to convey and those conveyed in the workshops (NUMA signature format). I also appreciate the short formats, which offer great flexibility in the organization of my interventions, enabling me to adapt easily to the specific needs of each session and maintain the participants' attention throughout the training. The variety of customers encountered at Numa is also a very attractive aspect for me.
I put a lot of dynamism into my presentations, which is often underlined by the feedback I get from participants. I think this is one of the reasons for their success. I attach great importance to creating a bond and establishing a connection between participants right from the start of the session. I invest a lot of energy in the first 10 to 15 minutes to put people at ease and encourage them to participate. And finally, humility. I always approach sessions by telling participants that I'm not teaching them about life, but sharing practices that can work. However, this is no guarantee. You have to try them out and make up your own mind.
